Inje University Ilsan-Paik
Hospital staffed with a professional medical team

Hospital operates 22 departments including the Cardiovascular
Center, the Cerebral Nerve Center, the Liver Center,

Ilsan-Paik Hospital
is proud of its Liver Center. In 1984 Dr. Jung-Ryong
Kim, known as 'Dr. Liver', made a great contribution
lengthening the average life span of Koreans by
developing hepatitis B vaccine which decreased the
number of Koreans infected with hepatitis B from
10% to 4%. The center possesses a Novalis, the most
advanced radiation surgical machine. Only twenty
units have been produced throughout the world and
the unique one in Korea is at Ilsan-Paik Hospital.
Novalis enables doctors to perform an operation
on every regions of the brain, on affected areas
up to 8cm. This means that thanks to Novalis, now,
physicians don't need to worry any more about the
location and size of the surgery.
VISION 21 Cardiac & Vascular Center can boast
Dr. Won-Ro Lee, who was a professor at the department
of Cardiology at Georgetown University Medical School
for 20 years and is internationally recognized as
an expert on cardiac diseases. Dr. Yun-Jun Yang
of the Family Medicine department, who obtained
license for Sports Medicine at London University,
is responsible for the Sports Medical Center. He
not only cares after patients with cardiac problems
but also prescribes proper exercise programs to
